Episcopal Actors Guild Announces 85th Annual Memorial Service

Just received this and thought I'd pass it on.

The Episcopal Actors’ Guild of America, a New York City based charity for people in the Performing Arts, is holding its 85th Annual Memorial Service on Sunday, November 9th, 2008, at 4:00 pm. The service celebrates the lives of performing arts professionals who have passed away during the 2007-2008 year. It will take place at the Little Church Around the Corner (headquarters of the Guild), 1 East 29th St., New York, NY 10016. The Little Church has had a relationship with the theater community since 1870.

The Memorial Address: Humor and the Dignity of Actors, will be given by Mart Hulswit, Executive Director Emeritus of the Guild. Mart served for several years on the Boards of both AFTRA and SAG. He was an original New York Shakespeare Festival Company member, went on to guest-star on many television series, appeared in several feature films, played leading roles at many regional theaters and starred for 12 years as Dr. Ed Bauer on “Guiding Light”. He currently enjoys the benefits of three full union pensions.

Both the service and reception following are free and open to the public.
