Robert Prosky, 1930-2008

Here's the Associated Press obituary on a great actor, Robert Prosky, who died today of complications following a cardiac procedure.

You may remember him from Hill Street Blues. But he was a deeply committed theater actor with more than 200 productions to his credit.

This line, at the very end of the AP piece, touched me very deeply.

Said his son, Stefan Prosky, "Instead of flowers, the family is asking for donations to The Actors Fund or for people to 'just go see a play.'"
